Frequently Asked Questions
Q
WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH?
A
My approach is documentary, honest, and cinematic. I focus on capturing connection and the candid in-between moments that can never be re-enacted. I will direct when needed, but for the most part, my goal is to make you comfortable to be freely yourselves.
Q
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?
A
I have been a photographer for 10 years!
I studied Studio Art in university, and enjoy fusing various mediums such as printmaking, painting, video, and installation. However, photography will always be my choice medium and my first love.
Q
DO YOU SHOOT FILM PHOTOGRAPHY?
A
Yes, I have been shooting 35mm and medium-format film for 6 years. I love film, because of its candid, vintage, and unique feel. It also slows me down and encourages me to be more intentional and creative as a photographer. If you would want to incorporate film photography into your wedding day or portrait session, I would be more than excited!
Q
DO YOU HELP IN THE PLANNING PROCESS?
A
I would love to! Let me help you with creating your timeline, outfits, lighting, location scouting, and vendor recommendations. I want to help make your special day as stress-free and magical as possible.
Q
WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?
A
For portrait sessions, I send the gallery within 3-4 weeks.
For weddings and elopements, 6-8 weeks. During busy season, wedding galleries may take up to 8-10 weeks. I want to give you my best and be intentional with your galleries, which takes lots of time and care!
Q
HOW MANY PHOTOS do we receive?
A
For portrait sessions, I provide around 80-150 photos. For weddings, it ranges from 400-800 depending on the wedding package. I do not hold back on the images!
Q
WILL WE GET SNEAK PEEKS?
A
Yes! I do try and send sneak peeks within one week (weddings only)!
Q
HOW CAN WE BOOK YOU?
A
To secure your date, I will send you an online contract you can look over and sign.
There is a 30% non-refundable deposit, and the remaining balance is due one month before your wedding date! For portrait sessions, the remaining balance is due the date of your session.
